Madison Beer Launches Her Comeback With Two New Singles

Madison Beer is officially back, and she’s showing both confidence and vulnerability in her new music. The 26-year-old musician is back with two singles that highlight her development as a songwriter and artist. Following September’s sensual and confident “yes baby,” her latest track, “bittersweet,” dropped on October 10, marking the beginning of her new era. These releases follow her July 2024 single “15 Minutes” and her February hit “Make You Mine,” which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording, cementing her growing presence in the pop scene, despite the award ultimately being awarded to Charli XCX’s “Von Dutch.” Both “bittersweet” and “yes baby” highlight Beer’s growth and artistic development as she continues to redefine her sound and persona in the pop music scene.

A Confident Return With “yes baby”

Released on September 19, 2025, “yes baby” marked Beer’s 2025 comeback to music. She co-wrote the song with Leroy Clampitt, Peter Rycroft, and Lucy Healey, and co-produced it with Clampitt and Rycroft. The song is an electropop and dance-pop anthem, led by glossy synths and pulsing percussion, which Beer described as “really just a fun and flirty song.” The single was accompanied by an eye-catching music video, co-directed by Beer and Aerin Moreno, which opens with an image of the singer in a skin-tight bodysuit, walking on a treadmill in high heels. In the visual, Beer performs choreographed barre and dance movements in mirrored studio scenes. Inspired by 1980s fitness aesthetics, the music video evokes both control and performance- a nod to the way Madison Beer’s image has often been shaped by how others perceive her. By reclaiming those aesthetics through taking part in the direction, she signals a subtle form of maturity- now she’s staging and shaping her own image. The lowercase title, “yes baby,”mirrors her broader visual minimalism.

Before the release, Madison Beer teased “yes baby” by sharing a snippet on social media that set the tone for the track’s blend of retro glam and playful confidence. In an interview with Paper Magazine, Beer described the song as “the closing bracket in an unintentional trilogy,” following her 2024 singles “Make You Mine” and “15 Minutes.”

A Softer Side With “bittersweet”

Just weeks later, Madison Beer showed a different side of herself with “bittersweet”, released on October 10, 2025, as the second single from her third studio album. While “yes baby” exudes confidence, “bittersweet” dives into heartbreak and healing. During a livestream, the singer shared that the song centers on the end of a relationship. Knowing it’s over for the best, even though letting go still hurts. She revealed that “bittersweet” came together unexpectedly, written on a random day after she thought the album was already complete. Motivated by personal struggles, she teamed up with producer One Love and a group of new collaborators to channel her emotions into song. Listeners first got a hint of “bittersweet” in the final seconds of the “yes baby” music video, which featured an easter egg snippet of the upcoming track. Beer then continued teasing it across social media. First mentioning the title during a “yes baby” streaming party on September 22, followed by an Instagram story on October 1 that featured layered harmonies. After weeks of teasing, “bittersweet” finally dropped on October 10, accompanied by a lyric visualizer, with a full music video confirmed to follow.

The Start of a New Chapter - Balancing Image and Authenticity

Through “yes baby” and “bittersweet”, Madison Beer is preparing for her third studio album that promises to merge her signature cinematic sound with new depths of self-expression. The singles highlight the dual energy of the project: one bold and playful, the other sensitive and contemplative. That demonstrates the evolution of an artist who’s grown both personally and musically. Her decision to perform at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York City on October 15, which was streamed worldwide on Prime Video, Amazon Live, and Victoria’s Secret’s social platforms, adds an interesting tension- the same artist who sings about heartbreak and honesty while performing on one of pop culture’s most image-focused stages. Rather than undermining her emotional honesty, however, it might reflect the reality of the modern artists- finding a balance between empowerment and the pressure to look perfect.

With her glossy pop confidence and genuine emotional honesty, Madison Beer’s latest releases prove that she’s stepping into a new era.
