Sightseeing the nature

Majority of people travel to discover cities, visit museums or take photos of various well-known monuments. Nature is so often omitted in these tours and I just cannot understand why. Have you ever visited a breathtaking national park? Have you ever left the crowded places to learn about the local flora and fauna?

I will show you a few examples to prove that it isn’t as boring as it sounds.

The United States of America is a stunning country with over sixty national parks. It is commonly known for big cities such as New York or Los Angeles but there is much more outside of them to see and explore. Have you seen the geothermal features of Yellowstone National Park? How about the mesmerizing waterfalls that make Yosemite National Park so famous and loved by many people around the globe? Photos taken there are definitely more interesting than those of skyscrapers and the greyish infrastructure in large cities. Tourists are rarely interested in visiting monuments of nature because they believe they are boring and unworthy of seeing. They couldn’t possibly be more wrong. The world around us has much more to offer than most people realise. It doesn’t take much effort to check it out and find out for yourself. Going on a trip around National Parks can be an adventure like no other you have experienced before. Stepping off the beaten track is easier than you would think and certainly worth the shot.

When it comes to accessibility of such attractions, people need to be more aware of the simplicity of visiting or finding them. In many countries there are countless National Parks that are located around the whole territory. It will get even easier, if you consider exploring nature in different ways. A simple walk in the nearby forest or a quick visit to the nearest lake doesn’t need much time or effort. When you are out of your hometown you can always check on maps where beaches, rivers or other untouched by human race landscapes are.

Such research takes up to a few minutes and is worth far more than that. In Białystok we have wonderful parks and just near the city there are quiet, peaceful forests that hide more beauty than you would expect. One of the most stunning places is the nature reserve Krzemianka. You can walk on the wooden footbridge in the heart of the woods. If you want something more unconventional, just look it up online and I am more than sure you will find a suitable place.

I encourage everyone to visit National Parks and local natural landscapes when travelling or even when bored in your own hometown. Nature is breath-taking and there is so much more to discover than is shown in the pictures. Try out yourself and find out about the simplicity and beauty of mother nature.
