In the world of cinema, March is usually almost entirely dominated by the Oscars. Because of the fact that the Ceremony happens somewhere between February and April, the movies released during that time hide in the shadows of the event. It's also one of the reasons why not as many films premiere then. It was also the case this year, but there were some that came out despite the 95th Academy Awards Ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood on March 12th.

First things first, the movie that triumphed throughout this year's gala was Everything Everywhere All At Once directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert. The creators and cast of the sci-fi action comedy brought home seven statues. It almost managed to achieve The Big Five of the Academy Awards, that is, winning the awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress In a Leading Role, Best Actor In a Leading Role and Best Adapted or Original Screenplay. The exception for EEAAO was the Best Leading Actor category. Besides the Daniels, Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis who received The Big Five statues, among the winners were also Ke Huy Quan, as well as Paul Rogers responsible for the editing. The film gathered four more nominations for Costume Design, Music, another Supporting Actress (Stephanie Hsu), Original Song. What's interesting is that Yeoh is the second ever woman of color to win the Best Actress In a Leading Role after Halle Berry in 2002 and the first ever Asian woman to do so.

Another title that was called many times at the Ceremony was All Quiet On The Western Front with four wins. The German-language film was awarded Best International Feature Film, Best Cinematography, Music and Production Design. The movie follows the story of a young German soldier who enlisted in the army with his friends during World War I, and finds himself facing a drastically different to what he envisioned reality of the war front. It scored 89% on the Tomatometer and 90% on the Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a very high rating.
Among other productions which received accolades in various categories were The Banshees of Inisherin, The Whale, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, Navalny, The Elephant Whisperers, RRR, The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and the Horse, An Irish Goodbye, Top Gun: Maverick, Avatar: The Way of Water and Women Talking.
Although not many, there were some movies that premiered in March, such as Scream VI. The Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett film is another part of the horror mystery series, of which the original movie was released back in 1996. This chapter's cast includes recent Wednesday star Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Hayden Panettiere, Courtney Cox and Skeet Ulrich. The characters they play struggle with leaving Woodsboro and starting over after surviving the Ghostface killings from the fifth part of the franchise.
Although Oscar winner productions are usually aimed at a very specific type of recipient, surely everyone will find at least one accolade-receiving film that will move them, as the list is rather versatile and broad.
